In this article I'm going to outline a simple but powerful approach you can use to achieve your fitness goals. Converting your negative self-talk to positive, productive statements of intent.

Here are a few examples of negative self-talk with positive self-talk substitutes:
I feel so fat - I'm going to get into better shape
I feel so weak when I workout - I become stronger and stronger every time I train
I can't exercise, I'm just too stressed - Let's go, I'll feel better afterwards
I need to lose weight - I will lose weight
What if I never lose weight - I will lose weight no matter how long it takes
Self-Talk can be in our heads or spoken out loud, negative self-talk commonly occurs involuntarily; it's important to catch yourself when this happens and rapidly replace the unhelpful criticism with a positive statement of intent.
This will shift your focus from looking down on yourself to looking up to where you could be, committing yourself to a future You that encompasses what you want and makes you feel good instead of wallowing in the shortcomings of your current self.
So, let's go, you can achieve your goals, start today, right now and keep moving forward.
